International Timberframes Inc. is a well established and growing timberframe company specializing in hand-crafted timber structures, from mantelpieces and stairs to entire homes.

We are always looking for skilled people in our shop and operations. If you feel that you have skills that could benefit the type of work we do, we would like to hear from you! The types of positions we occasionally recruit for are CAD Production Designer, Lead Hand Timberframer, Timberframer, Apprentice or Labourer.

 

Lead Hand Timberframer

This position is based at our shop in Golden, BC (with travel as required in BC and Alberta to client job sites).

As a Lead Timberframer you are responsible for the preparation of timberframe projects: stairs, decorative features, and structural frames. You will be required to interpret office produced shop drawings, use hand tools for cutting of joinery, sand, stain, preassemble and package as appropriate. When required you will travel to the client jobsite to raise/install.
Applicants need to have minimum 3yrs experience in timber framing (or 8 years related experience in carpentry or cabinetry).

 

Timberframer

This position is based at our shop in Golden, BC (with travel as required in BC and Alberta to client job sites).

Under the direction of the Lead Hand, you would be required to interpret office produced shop drawings, use hand tools for cutting of joinery, sand, stain, pre-assemble and package as appropriate.  When required you will travel to the client jobsite to raise/install.
Applicants need to have minimum 1yr experience in timber framing (or 3 years related experience in carpentry or cabinetry).

 

Apprentice Timberframer or Labourer

This position is based at our shop in Golden, BC (with travel as required in BC and Alberta to client job sites).

The purpose of this role is to undertake Timberframing/Apprentice tasks as part of the team, on the shop floor and job sites. You will learn accurate interpretation of shop drawings, cutting, sanding, staining, joinery and improve skills working with hand tools. When required you will travel to the client jobsite to assist with raising/installation.
